Famous places like Kitzbühel or Seefeld attract not only winter sports enthusiasts, but also other tourists. These picturesque places captivate with great shopping, exclusive shops and many rustic stops. Hiking holidaymakers also get their moneys worth in Austria. Well-signposted hiking trails lead past imposing mountain landscapes, idyllic alpine pastures and rustic mountain huts that are embedded in the landscape. Especially in summer, hiking buses are in operation and cable cars provide access to the high mountains. One of the most impressive hiking areas is definitely the National Park Hohe Tauern. In the largest protected area, located in the Alps, you can go on simple day hikes, via ferrata or alpine tours lasting several days.

In the Vienna Volksgarten, the Sisi Monument commemorates the once most beautiful empress of her time. Not far away from there is the Augustinerkirche. This is where Sissi and Franz Josef were married in 1854. Another highlight for Sissi enthusiasts is Schönbrunn Palace. The former summer residence of the empress was built in the late 17th century and impresses with a beautiful palace park with noble gardens. In addition to a varied cultural programme, Vienna also has a lot to offer in terms of culinary delights. Vienna is known above all for its cuisine and teahouse culture. Be sure to try a traditional Viennese Schnitzel and a piece of original Viennese Sachertorte.
